Ever since the tragic passing of our daughter six months ago, we have been searching for methods of reducing the incidence of symptoms causing her death. We have received guidance and counseling from a very wide range of people concerning many levels of help and advice. One of the groups that we had heard of but knew very little about Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.
Among other things that it does, it deals with drug and alcohol addiction, but these are but a small part of all their responsibilities and accomplishments.
They are funded in part by the state and their office in Gainesville covers 11 counties, including Alachua. Believe it or not, they have been given the responsibility for 60 different issues of health, environment, addiction, homelessness and so many others.
To learn more about what they do, please go to www.mbhci.org and like magic, you will be very impressed with their services that are so important to so many folks of all ages starting with early childhood.
Like so many other agencies, they are suffering the reduction in government dollars and desperately need to raise money in other ways. They have chosen a program that will be both exciting and thrilling.
It takes place on February 27th just a few short weeks away. This show that you will be able to read more about on the amazing colorful piece [linked at the start of the article] will give you a spectacular evening.
Prices for the best seats are $65 for adults and $50 in balcony; $35 for students of any age and here is the great part. A large part of the cost will be tax deductible. Multiple tickets will make the deduction even greater.
I promise you’ll never see magic performed in such a convincing way. Hurry up for the best seats. Bring your friends.
