Dear Dancers,

Please join us this Monday, May 9.

I'm going to put Mayfair up front in case you don't read all the way down!!  There is a special dance two hours from here, next Saturday in St. Cloud.  There is a tea dance in the afternoon and an Evening Ball.  You may attend both or just one session if you like.  It's a good opportunity to dance at another place with other people and callers.  You can dress up for the ball if you like.  Go to Don Pauley's website for more information (it's at the end....nooooooo....don't skip down....read through to the end!!)

We had an out-of-towner from New England dance with us last week and he was very complimentary about our dancers.  Our group does very well--including our newer dancers!!

If you missed it last week, we will do Look Both Ways again; here is the dance  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1EZqNTMvDA

Lisa Marie is going to introduce us to a new dance, Wildflowers to a beautiful Larry Unger waltz, "Leona Tuttle".  We will also do Vivaldi in Paradise again and Dublin Bay which is a fun, driving dance.  Something for everyone....

Sometime in June we will have an English dance where those who wish may dress in period attire. It's not required. Anyone can come to watch or participate and dance no matter what you choose to wear. I'll announce the specific date as we get closer.

Even if you haven't done English dancing before, you will do fine--all dances are taught, walked through, and called. No experience is necessary; no partner or special dress either.

This dance is a bargain at only $5!!!  But therefore we need lots of dancers to make the rent for the evening--please come and support this dance. We are keeping the price low in hopes that you will donate, if you can, to the musicians who work so hard. They practice the music each week before the dances.

English dancing is easy on your feet; you move on your own volition--so those who get dizzy or have shoulder issues should be comfortable. Most connections are made with you eyes and you mirror your partner's moves. Come give it a try! No special clothing required.

Remember, we need to keep moving for health!! We hope to see you there.
