Hello Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,
Two ballroom classes this Friday night at 308 West with US Open Champion Dr. Caroline (Kay) Picart. We are lucky to have Kay in Gainesville while she goes to law school. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn from a professional dancer, fantastic teacher and sweet person. American Show Tango is at 5:30 and Bolero at 6:30. For all level except beginning dancers. You do not need to know these dances, but you do need to know how to dance.
UF Tango follows Kay's ballroom class with a lesson at 8:00.
The UF Swing Club is on the Reitz Union Colonade Friday night, not at the UTC.
There are two dances Saturday night, ballroom dancing with Maria Alvarez and Tango Pavadita at 308 West.
The monthly Waltz brunch is this Sunday at 10:30 at 308 West, with Cajun music which is a lot of fun to dance to.
These are the last two Sunday afternoons to join the Free introductory Clogging Classes with Kelli on May 15 and 22 from 4 to 5 at Carpenter's Union.
After clogging on Sunday, join our Slow Lindy Swing class at 7 at 308 West, followed by an hour of Hustle.
Some people have been wanting to get in Swing dance practice, so next Thursday, May 19, after Judi's class, you will be able to come out to 308 West for mostly West Coast Swing dancing from 8:30 to 10:30 for only $5.
Two new beginner classes coming up in June: (a) Social Dancing for People with Two Left Feet and (b) Beginner Israeli Folk Dancing.
