Hello Gainesville Ocala Social Dancers,
Some people have asked me to open up 308 West tonight, Thursday night for Swing Dance practice after Judi's West Coast Swing class, so we are giving this a try. Come on out for dancing in the big room from 8:30 to 10:30. If you want, come early from 8:00 to 8:30 for a short lesson in the small room in the back. Cost is only $5. Free if you came to any of my Lindy classes or my Dance Party this month.
Registration is now open for the new beginner dance classes offered thru Santa Fe College starting in June: (a) Social Dancing for People with Two Left Feet and (b) Beginner Israeli Folk Dancing. People can sign up here. Let your friends know.

Kay Picart canceled her Bolero class this Friday because there were not enough early sign ups, which is a shame.
Kay has scheduled two Cha Cha classes for June 3 and 10, and two Waltz classes for June 17 and 24. Let her know right away that you are coming to her classes, at least by June 1.
You should take this rare opportunity to learn from a top-class professional. My niece-in-law took private lessons with Kay one summer in Tallahassee and I was astounded at her dramatic improvement. Kay can correct the little things you need to shine as a ballroom dancer.
On Friday UF Tango is at 308 West and the UF Swing Club is in the Reitz Union.
Saturday night Tango Pavadita is holding a milonga.
There is also a Contra Dance at the Boltin Center on Saturday night starting at 8.
You can still join the last free introductory Clogging Class this Sunday May 22.
This Sunday night May 22, will be our last Lindy Swing class this month. I will be out of town Sunday May 29. Learning Lindy will help your improvisational skills for any type of Swing. If you pay for this Thursday's Swing practice, you can come to the Lindy class for half price ($5). Afterwards join us for Hustle!
West Coast Swing dance classes on Tuesday with Richard, Wednesday with Essie and Thursday with Judi.
Next Thursday, May 26 is Christian's Balboa class. Join us for an interesting dance.
Come out June 4 for Gainesville's once-a-month Swinging Soul Dance Party at 308 West. Put all your dance classes to good use for a fun evening.
