Thursdays
Ongoing Thursdays, 7:30-10:30 pm. Gainesville Swing Dancing is proud to announce that we have secured a downtown Gainesville venue for our events.
Starting September 21st, every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, you can find us at the Rosa B Williams Center. We'll kick off the night with a one-hour beginner lesson, followed by two hours of social dancing in a beautiful, air-conditioned hardwood dance hall.
We cannot wait to hit the dance floor with all of you and look forward to seeing you at our new venue on September 21st.

This Spring, we will feature two levels of classes taught by Zack Buchillon, as well as an open practice hour.
1:45 - 3:45 Higher Level Lindy Lesson
4:00 - 5:00 Beginner Level Lindy Lesson
5:00 - 6:00 Open Practice Hour
Prices
Higher Level - $10 per lesson, $75 full semester
Beginner Level - $5 per lesson, $30 full semester

Sat 8 Feb 2020, 11:30 am-3:45 pm. You have learned swingouts, you can tell the difference between a 6 count and 8 count move, but what is next?
Join teachers Zach Bush and Bryn Taylor for four hours of exploring different 6 count and 8 count moves, how to move seamlessly between the two, and throwing in some swingout variations to mix up and level up your dancing.
Schedule:

Promenade quick spins and tuck turn variations

Fri 21 Feb 2020, 8-11 pm. Get In The Mood for a very special dance at the glorious Rion Ballroom! Florida Swing Dancing club invites you to join us this Friday at the University of Florida’s Rion Ballroom. This event will cost $5 to help support the club and bring you more dancing events like this to Gainesville.
You may come alone or with a group of friends. Coming with a dance partner is not necessary and no prior dance experience is required.
As always, we will have a beginner lesson starting at 8pm that will introduce you to the dance that is swing and teach you some rockin’ steps and moves.
The Rion Ballroom is located on the 2nd floor of the Reitz Union. If you are off campus you can park in the Reitz Union Parking Garage or surrounding lots, it's free after 4:30 pm! No parking decal required!
