We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.

Starting September 21st, every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, you can find us at the Rosa B Williams Center. We'll kick off the night with a one-hour beginner lesson, followed by two hours of social dancing in a beautiful, air-conditioned hardwood dance hall.

Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. Dance forms taught include ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary West African, Graham, Limon, Horton and Musical Theatre. These classes cater to new dancers, that is those people who have never danced before. If you have wanted to dance, but been apprehensive about going, these sessions are for you. Everyone learns at their own pace. These are social dance classes. The focus is on having fun, while you learn to dance with a partner. You build your confidence in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
Safety comes first. These are gentle classes. There is no pushing and no pulling. Everyone does their own dancing.
Couples friendly classes. You can dance just with your partner, if you like. You do not need to rotate. You can rotate as much or as little as you like.
Singles friendly classes. You do not need a partner. We do rotate partners, so you get a chance to dance with everyone else.
No experienced needed.

Who: Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.

Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.

Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. This is a great chance to get to dance with other students and many members of the community, so come out and have a good time. The event is free for everyone. Help us by inviting your friends.
All levels of experience welcome, even if you have only been to the beginner classes. Non-tango dancers are also welcome to join us to socialize and watch.
What to wear: Bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. If you own a pair of salsa shoes or jazz/ballet flats, those work great too. Fancy shoes are not necessary.

On Monday nights, learn basic, social Foxtrot, which you can use at social dances. You will also learn how to mix Foxtrot in with your Swing dancing for added variety.
We are doing a short, 3-week series, before our next 6-week series starts. During these 3 weeks, you will learn the basics of some useful, often played social dances. The more dances you know, the more dances you can do at a social.
On Thursday nights, the dances you will learn are Argentine Tango, Waltz and Rumba.
All levels. Suitable for beginners and those with experience. No partner needed. Couples friendly. You do not need to rotate.

Wed 29 Mar 2017, 7-8 pm. This is an ongoing class. No prior experience in Hip-Hop is needed. Starts from the beginning, covering all of the basics. The music is great and the class is fun.
Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. Dance forms taught include ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary West African, Graham, Limon, Horton and Musical Theatre.
