Zoom Social Dance Exercise Salsa, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Hustle with Andy

Tue 28 Apr, 7-8:30 pm. Gainesville. Andrew Weitzen, 352-327-3672. Free. Swing Dance Gainesville - [zoom][email][events]

You can join me for Social Dance Exercise with Andy Live Online, as I continue to experiment.

I am planning dance classes for May. In the meantime, get some exercise, have some fun as we do basic steps for a number of dances.

Share your feedback. Let me know what kind of dance sessions you want, what times are good, what types of dances, whether you want instruction, exercises, dancing, musicality, etc.

Following is the invitation to the Tuesday session and the tentative schedule.

For the different dances we will do a combination of exercises, instruction and routines. This is an experimentation, so be forewarned things will be rough. If you do not like messiness, wait until we work out the bugs before you attend. If you do not mind some confusion, join us.

Note that there is a password. The sessions are free.

Tuesday April 21 at 7:00 pm EDT.
You can join online at 6::50 pm.

Improve Sound Quality
---------------------
To improve sound quality, you may be able to try some Zoom settings.
Use a PC, rather than a phone or tablet, if you can, for more options.

When in the Zoom meeting:

1. In the lower left, you should mute your microphone when the music is playing.
Next to the microphone click the up arrow.
Click Audio Settings.
On the Audio Settings page, in the bottom right click Advanced.
On the next page, check the Show in-meeting option to Enable Original Sound.
Disable the next two Suppress options.
All of these options are for getting rid of sounds that are not people talking.
In other words, if you do not change these settings, Zoom tries to filter out the music.

2. In the upper left there is a setting: Turn On or Off Original Sound
You want that to have the original sound on.
Otherwise Zoom will try to cut out the music, because the music does not sound like people talking.
When you turn on the sound, the bar then says: Turn Off Original Sound
That is good.

3. There are other settings that may help.
If you find any that improve the quality, let us know.
