The concept is to wear red or green. Red are for those who are taken or in a relationship. Or just not ready for dat. Green is good to go, single and ready to mingle.
Gator Salsa Club Extravaganza
What is it you ask?! The extravaganza happens once each semester where salseros from all over Florida come to Gainesville and party! It includes other salseros from other universities (such as FSU, UCF, USF, UM, etc.) and dance companies/organizations. It's a weekend event and it is our biggest event GSC hosts.
For this semester, the extravaganza will be the November 1st weekend. Let me break it down to you in terms of theme, location, etc. Once we finalize more things, I will make an announcement so ya'll don't be lost. ALSO! Don't be afraid to dress up! That's one of the best parts! Plus we will have photographers present to take pictures.
Friday (October 31, 2014)
Halloween Presocial: 2100-0100; Location TBA; Theme: Halloween. Duh.
Saturday (November 1, 2014)
Workshops: 1300-1700; Location TBA. Various dance groups will be teaching. 2-3 groups will be teaching simultaneously and each class is one hour.
Extravaganza: 2200-0230; Elder Care Center of Alachua County; Theme: Masquerade Ball; This is the main event; You can bring your own masks, but some cheap masks will be provided. Social dancing, competitions, and performances will occur during this time.
iHop/Afterparty: Uh. Yeah. After the extravaganza, if you can still walk and function, join us with more fun!
