Are you craving more dance in your life?

Join us for a delicious movement class that combines modern dance technique exercises, improvisational explorations and short choreographed combinations to fully embody self expression through dance.

This weekly drop-in class is for ALL levels of movers, shakers, dancers and maker - whether you’re new to dance, returning to dance, or expanding your practice as a flow or circus artist, ecstatic dancer, or yogini. The only prerequisites are comfortability rolling on the floor, and willingness to try new things.

Ileigh creates a supportive environment, focused on the joy of movement and using dance as a tool to express our rich inner world. She weaves concepts of finding balance and strength through body connectivity, expanding on natural movement pathways, and riding momentum with a balance of specificity and surrender into her class.

We will do ground work, across the floor, and center exercises, with each class culminating in a piece of short choreography to put it all together, and add our own presence and personality.

Her class is an amalgamation of a lifelong exploration of physical expressions, from traditional modern dance techniques of Jose Limón and Lar Lubovitch, to studying with Seattle dance pioneers KT Niehoff, Michelle Miller and Amii LeGendre, to practicing contact improvisation with all the greats. She also sprinkles in a dash of razzle dazzle from her days as a showgirl and professional aerialist, stilt dancer and fire performer.

Wear clothes that don’t restrict your movement, soft knee pads if your knees are delicate, bring a water bottle, and bring a journal if you like to take notes.
