About the dance and facilitator
My name is Elliot Larkin, I play the roles of dad, husband, home builder, property manager, stained glass artist, friend, brother, and son. Sometimes these roles overtake me; the moving meditation, that is, ecstatic dance is a great way to remember source, spirit, connection to God - whatever you wish to call it.
How does a moving meditation actually work? Just as there are many ways to hike up a mountain, there are many ways to meditate. Every time the mind thinks what am I doing? or this will be cool, soften to let go of that strand. Relax and release over and over until all that's left is flow with self, music, and community. I invite you to dance through the five rhythms with us while releasing over and over the mind trying to control reality and look good.
Jump over yourself, this is a helpful method to be on the other side of anxiety.
