Jazz Jam: For those who are musically inclined, please join us for the Pre-Sip Jazz Jam starting at 6 pm.
No partner or experience needed.
Relax, have a drink, and dip your toes into swing dancing. We welcome beginners and experienced dancers, come share some time with friends.

Thursdays
Ongoing Thursdays, 7:30-10:30 pm. Gainesville Swing Dancing is proud to announce that we have secured a downtown Gainesville venue for our events.
Starting September 21st, every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, you can find us at the Rosa B Williams Center. We'll kick off the night with a one-hour beginner lesson, followed by two hours of social dancing in a beautiful, air-conditioned hardwood dance hall.
We cannot wait to hit the dance floor with all of you and look forward to seeing you at our new venue on September 21st.

This event will cost $5 to help support the club and bring you more swing dancing events in Gainesville. There will be a friendly beginner lesson will to help you get into the swing of things. You may come alone or with a group of friends. Coming with a dance partner is not necessary and no prior dance experience is required.

Maybe it's your competitive nature that drives you to expand your skills past a one-hour beginner lesson. Perhaps it's your desire to form deeper friendships among one of the most compassionate, accepting communities in the world. Or maybe you just want to be able to better communicate your art on the dance floor with your partner and share your style with the most experienced dancers.
Join our Teaching Director, Zack Buchillon, as he shares his extensive experience in the form of a thoughtful, engaging lesson series. Zack has attended a large number of different workshops where he has learned from and engaged with many of the most renowned international Lindy Hop instructors of our time! We welcome you to explore with other students and dive into the rich culture and history of the dance we are lucky to partake in.

Sat 26 Oct 2019, 9 am-1:30 pm. Do you know the basics of balboa and want to learn more? Have you already taken several lessons in balboa and want to improve your dancing? Whether you are a beginner or intermediate balboa dancer, if you are looking to take your dancing to the next level, this is the workshop for you! Join Gainesville local Amye M. Francis and special guest instructor and award winning dancer from Orlando, Aaron Able Seals, on an adventure into balboa.
The price is $10 and can be paid at the door. We accept cash, card, check, Venmo or Paypal Stay tuned as more details are released and don't forget about the balboa and blues social dance afterwards; what better opportunity could you find to practice the new material you just learned? And workshop attendees get in for free!
