Jazz Jam: For those who are musically inclined, please join us for the Pre-Sip Jazz Jam starting at 6 pm.
No partner or experience needed.
Relax, have a drink, and dip your toes into swing dancing. We welcome beginners and experienced dancers, come share some time with friends.
While this event is free, please support the Bull who is generously hosting and providing a welcoming space for dancing.

Thursdays
Ongoing Thursdays, 7:30-10:30 pm. Gainesville Swing Dancing is proud to announce that we have secured a downtown Gainesville venue for our events.
Starting September 21st, every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, you can find us at the Rosa B Williams Center. We'll kick off the night with a one-hour beginner lesson, followed by two hours of social dancing in a beautiful, air-conditioned hardwood dance hall.
We cannot wait to hit the dance floor with all of you and look forward to seeing you at our new venue on September 21st.

Despite our hopes to the contrary, it has become clear that there is simply no way to safely run a high-contact large event any time in the near future, therefore we’ve made the painful decision to cancel Camp Hollywood 2020.
HOWEVER…we don’t intend to leave your Labor Day Weekend a gaping void in your life. We are currently in the process of formulating an ambitious virtual Camp Hollywood to be run more or less on our normal schedule. This event will include classes from your CH 2020 instructors, panels and talks, DJs from around the world, appearances from our scheduled bands, and contests. Yes, contests*.

Sat 5 Sep 2020, 8-10:45 pm. We are excited to announce that our team has planned some fun virtual activities to keep us in the camp spirit, despite not being able to celebrate together in person. We hope you will join us on Saturday, September 5, from 8-11pm ET for some live music, dancing, singing and good times!
Our evening will include:
- Two sets of live music from Gordon Webster and Friends
- Soul music a la Charles' Happy Hour
- Class routine performances from our two solo jazz tracks with Marie N'Diaye and Skye Humphries (register now at swingoutnh.com)
- A compilation of campers singing the purple lilacs song (keep an eye out for our soon-to-be-released guide video)
- A chance to see friendly faces and keep the spirit of SONH alive
Our online dance celebration will be hosted on Zoom. The link will be provided on September 5.

Have you ever been to a Swing event where a DJ is playing some great tunes for everyone and you wished you could do the same? If so, we have some great news for you. Everyone can be a Swing DJ (this includes you too!) and we aim to provide a platform to make this happen.
We are excited to announce a new kind of event for people who love Swing music. Consider a “DJ Relay” Zoom session where someone plays a song, mentioning the title, artist/band, album, etc. Based on these details and the song that is being played, another person uses the “chat” function to call dibs on playing the next song that somehow links to the current one playing. The next person then provides similar details of the new song, which enables us to pass the baton and experience music by various people.
